GGCA’s 2026 Plans – What’s in the Works

We’re excited to share our plans for 2026—all informed by the results of GGCA’s first annual survey completed in February by 86 residents who told us the GGCA topics, events, and programs they’d like to see more of and the ways they’d like to get more involved with GGCA.  Check out the survey results and see how they inform our 2026 plans below.

Building a more connected, informed, and supportive community

We’re widening our community outreach via social media and our new newsletter, growing the number of block leaders, and promoting local businesses.

Making our two commercial corridors safer, cleaner, and more walkable

Lowell Street Corridor Projects
We drive the City’s efforts to stop the numerous public nuisance, building, and zoning code violations by Suprema Meats. View the news.

San Pablo Avenue Improvements Plan
Although revitalization has been occurring since 2006 in the San Pablo Avenue (SPA) Corridor, many storefronts remain empty, littering and dumping are common, walking is unpleasant, and local businesses are struggling. It can feel unsafe for cyclists and pedestrians who want to use SPA to get around. GGCA will work to improve these conditions along the Corridor. View the plan.
